The Opportunity:

GIPHY is seeking a Client Lead to build and maintain relationships with potential clients and bring them on board for paid GIPHY campaigns. The ideal candidate will have experience selling and managing branded/custom content campaigns in the digital space. GIPHY creates and distributes conversational branded content for some of the biggest brands in the world.

The Day to Day:

  • Help GIPHY build the foundation and framework for our advertising team to grow and thrive. Advise leadership and cross-functional stakeholders on market opportunities, sales positioning, ad products, use of resources, and strategic planning

  • Prospect, develop and manage a book of business to achieve and exceed revenue goals.

  • Maintain a partnership mindset, and think long-term. Build a foundation for revenue to grow above and beyond individual campaign renewals and long-term growth.

  • Effectively manage a sales pipeline, report on roadblocks and opportunities, and provide accurate forecasting and planning insights

  • Forge long term relationships with key decision-makers across at the brand direct and agency level.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in digital media sales and brand partnerships for a platform or media property, with a proven track record of reaching and exceeding revenue goals.

  • An established network within the advertising and entertainment industry. Strong Client Direct and Agency relationships with Fortune 500 brands.

  • Experience prospecting new partners, and a passion for building new partnerships and acquiring new business.

  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and an ability to persuade at all levels of an agency or client

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills at all levels of an organization.

  • Experience and excitement about building at the early stages of a business is a plus.

  • Experience in Sales Management is a plus.

  • A passion for internet culture, social platforms, short-form content, and powering expression around the world.

The pay range for this position is below:

$200,000 - $240,000 per year in California

Note: Commission-eligible roles are expressed as on-target earnings (base and commission). Non-commission roles are expressed as base salary only but are also eligible for annual incentives.
