Job Overview: We seek an experienced Product Manager to lead the development and enhancement of Shutterstock’s Transactions Platform, which enables core commerce capabilities for its B2C and B2B lines of business. As a Platform Product Manager, you will be crucial in shaping the platform’s strategy and ensuring we build an easily consumable and nimble transaction platform.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, understanding the perspectives of both technical and business partners, and translating business goals into a compelling platform roadmap.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a platform vision and roadmap tied to key company goals

• Work closely with our consumer teams, both product and engineering, to learn about their needs and use that information to inform the platform roadmap

• Conduct regular quantitative analysis of platform usage data to understand how we can drive improvements

• Partner with engineering teams to plan and prioritize the overall platform development

• Define, measure, and track key metrics that inform the team about the platform's health, the team’s operating effectiveness, and the business impact of your team’s work.

• Make decisions that you can defend and articulate with data and/or sound reasoning

• Communicating your plans across the organization effectively

• Stay up-to-date with e-commerce industry and platform trends, innovations, and emerging technologies

Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience as a product manager; platform experience is desirable

• Technical understanding of APIs, system flows, and functional flows

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Data-driven mindset with experience in using analytics to make informed product decisions.

• Experience with Agile development methodologies
