We are looking for an Engineer at heart that loves to stay ahead of threats, solve problems and build solutions. You will work with Engineering, Infrastructure and multi-business teams to design, build and optimize solutions that will make an impact for Shutterstock.

The day to day:

• Manage and mature our cyber defense capabilities across Cloud Security, Edge and Network Security, Endpoint Security, Vulnerability Management, IAM

• Research, test and build solutions to improve security outcomes and goals

• Monitor emerging threats and CVEs; suggest steps to mitigate and follow-through with the plan

• Monitor and investigate security alerts to identify attacks and triage appropriately

• Respond, contain and report security incidents by undergoing the complete incident response lifecycle

• Collaborate with Engineering, Infrastructure and multi-business teams to develop, fine-tune and improve on tools, solutions and efficiencies

• Lead efforts on documenting / improving processes, playbooks and automation efforts

• Lead and own all aspects of high-visibility security initiatives

What you will bring to the role:

• A strong understanding of technical security concepts and problem solving skills

• Experience in the following domains: cloud technologies and services, incident response, vulnerability management and threat analysis

• Coding/scripting experience in one or more general purpose languages

• Strong organizational and project management skills

• Proven ability to develop effective partnerships with senior management and peer organizations. Must be able to explain technical concepts and problems to nontechnical senior executives effectively

• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, resourceful, responsive with strong follow through

• An understanding and commitment to provide on-call rotations to support a 24/7 operation. Candidate will be part of rotating shifts and will be required to work periodic weekends and/or nights/evenings
